DarkMesh MANET K9 Camera
The DarkMesh (MANET K9 Camera) from Dark Systems is housed in a waterproof enclosure, it incorporates a selectable Color Day/Night Camera and Thermal Infrared Camera, a selectable White and Infrared Light, a Strobe Light and is GPS-enabled as well.
The DarkMesh K9 Camera is a high-powered extended range camera system that transmits live video and audio back to the K9 handler.
Receive video/audio in ATAK easily up to 450 meters away from the canine.
Two-way audio on the DarkMesh allows handlers to give commands and listen to a canine and/or suspect, utilizing the “Push to Talk” feature.
The camera mounts to the K9’s vest using molle and Velcro attachments.

The DarkMesh is a wireless camera system specifically designed for canine use, it is comprised of two main components, the Optronics Module and the Main Module which contain a Mesh enabled radio. The system has been designed for ease of use, effectively operating straight out of the box. Demand for system flexibility has led to Mesh being the first choice for video transmission. A digital Mesh radio network allows encoded video and audio to be exchanged and shared between several nodes simultaneously.

Long Battery Life & GPS
The DarkMesh offers up to 2 hours of runtime with a standard battery or up to 4,5 hour with MIL-STD battery (AN/PRC).
The DarkMesh Camera is viewed and controlled by a K9 Plug-In for the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK), which is run on you Android Device. User can view and record video and view K9 Camera and K9 Handler location on a map with ATAK.
Designed for the DarkFighter K9 Helmet
Designed by Dark Systems, the DarkMesh was designed to be mounted on the DarkFighter K9 Helmet and allow users who are equipped with it to be able to increase the fields of application by using the comfort of the helmet and its payload capacity.
The DarkMesh connects to the helmet's active ear covers to achieve a unique 2-way audio by providing communication of voice commands to the dog's hearing headset, allowing to keep a stealth mode and limiting its noise signature.

Plug&Play Installation
The DarkMesh is delivered with a plug&play Molle panel for a quick and easy installation. It features our DarkFighter quick release mechanism to load the DarkMesh module in seconds onto the K9 vest. Our system is compatible with all the K9 vests, custom developments on request.
Mobile Ad Hoc Network Enabled
Scalable self-forming and self-healing Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) networks are resilient because they can dynamically find alternate routes and fail-over in case of route failure. User can select between L-Band, S-Band and C-Band Radio Modules. Security of the link is ensured by Crypto Modes: AES256 Encryption and SHA-256 HMAC.
